I. AM. EXCITED! I finally bought a Michael Kors watch!!!! Woohoo! Anyone that knows me knows I have been practically drooling over them for over a year now. My last watch was a cheapie that I bought from Target some time ago. I had it for about three years, wore it everyday, and it finally gave up and broke on me. :(  Obviously that was the perfect excuse I needed to go forward to make my purchase :) I went to Macy's last month and saw they had about five styles of the MK watches on CLEARANCE!!!! What?!?! These watches never go on sale. Priced at originally $275.00 and marked down to $206.00. I also had a 15% off coupon in addition to my 20% employee discount. Score!!!!

The model is MK5446. It came with a two year warranty. You can't really tell by the pictures but it has  mother of pearl dial. It's water resistant up to 50 meters. Japanese Quartz movement and is 38mm diameter.

Dazzle Me: Shoedazzle Review

So I finally made my first purchase from Shoedazzle after being subscribed for about a year. Oh how picky I am lol. The name of the shoe is the Andie flat. It is a black satin flat with black rhinestones and spikes. See the pictures below:

These came packaged in a hot pink box which included a pink dust bag to store your shoes in for traveling. They also included a cute nail polish and file as a welcome gift which I thought was very thoughtful and cute. The shipping was pretty standard. Not super fast or super slow. I placed my order on 2/14 and they arrived 2/27. Keep in mind the weekend and recent holiday. These shoes are very comfortable. They are very well cushioned, especially in the ball of the foot which took some getting used to. What I did not enjoy was the extremely strong smell of glue. There was also some visible glue in certain places. Nothing too noticeable though. They come in black and also in silver. Sign up at

Very "on trend"
Awesome packaging
Great return policy
Free shipping

Strong glue smell
Visible glue in places

Viva Glam Nicki!

I finally got my hands on the MAC Viva Glam Nicki lipstick! Woohoo!!! I am beyond excited. I honestly was not sure if I would like it because I had seen so many mixed reviews and every time I saw a picture of it it looked different. So I thought, "what the heck!" If I don't like it at least it was for a good cause, right. So here it is!!!

The normal cute packaging. I adore the Viva Glam soooo much!!!

Without flash

With flash

Me in Viva Glam Nicki

In my opinion the color that the lipstick appears to be in the tube is not the color that appears on your lips. The pic above without flash is exactly how it looks in the tube. The picture with the flash is how it appears on your lips. In the tube it appears to be a more coral, yellow based pink. But once I applied it to my lips it appeared to be more of a bubblegum pink. This lipstick is very wearable. Not too bright but not at all boring. I was also afraid that this would be too similar to a MAC lippie I already own since I own so many pink ones. But I can say that I don't have one that is a dupe for this one. Verdict? Go out and get it!!!

The Perfume Experience

This past weekend I decided to venture out and do some shopping. One think I already knew I would purchase would be a fragrance. Specifically Chanel's Eau de Tendre. I have been wanting this perfume for a year now and was determined to get it. Even at the $90.00 price tag. I went to Macy's and ended up purchasing the last bottle they had left. That could only mean it was meant to be, right!? I was so excited to walk out of the store a proud owner of my coveted Chanel fragrance. Until.....

I got home sprayed the perfume on my wrists and sniffed away. What I got a whiff of, unfortunately, was not very pleasant. This smelled nothing like MY Chanel eau de tendre. In fact it smelled awful!!!! It smelled old. It smelled stale. The only thing I could think of to describe it was a perfume that had been sitting on my great grandmother's dresser for years collecting dust. Eck!!! Long story short, I returned it immediately. While at Macy's I was still determined to find a fragrance I loved. And there it was. Vince Camuto... A smell I have fallen head over heels in love with. It is sensual. It is dark. It is SEXY!!! This perfume's notes include osmanthus nectar, Bulgarian white rose, Tuscan leather, night blooming jasmine, vanilla, patchouli, amber, and creamy skin musk. Mostly I smell the sweetness of vanilla and Bulgarian rose, the sexiness of the leather, and a hint of spice. It's not overly sweet, spicy, or musky. It is just right. And once it began to mix with my body chemistry I simply could not get enough of it. I wore it for the first time today and the scent lasts all day without needing to be reapplied.

My Healthy Hair Journey

Last year, around August I decided to start a hair journey. Over the last few years I noticed that my hair had stopped growing. Well, it hadn't "stopped growing" I just was not retaining any length. The ends of my hair had become either broken off or split. And my hair was also really dry. So I began to research on YouTube and healthy hair blogs to find out how I could get my hair not only longer, but also healthier. To say that I learned ALOT would be an understatement! I had no idea how much went into getting and maintaining healthy hair. Since starting my journey I believe I have grown about 4-5 inches of hair. Below are recent pictures since I have straightened my hair over the weekend. I am 11 weeks post relaxer.

Viva Glam Nicki Minaj

I'm sure you guys have heard by now about the collab with MAC cosmetics and Nicki Minaj for Viva Glam. Yesterday I received an email from MAC with a promotional code to purchase the lipstick before everyone else. I followed the link from the email and found that the lipstick is described as a bright yellow-pink. Here are the pictures from the website.

Of course you can't really tell what the color is going to look like based on the pictures from the website so I researched a little more. Here is what I found:

Flamingo, Viva Glam Nicki, Pink Pigeon

Snob, Pink Nouveao, Viva Glam Nicki, Vegas Volt

Milani Haul!!!!

I'm not sure if you guys have heard yet, but CVS is having a major sale on Milani cosmetics. Apparently they are getting rid of the old and bringing in the new. Most of their cosmetics are now 75% off. I stopped by this weekend and picked up a few things. Unfortunately, the one thing I really wanted they didn't have which was the Liquif'eye eyeliner in black and the backed bronzer in Golden. But isn't it always that way? *shrugs* Anywho, here are the things I did purchase.

Milani Mineral Blush in Sweet Rose and Sunset Beach

Here are swatches. Sunset Beach on top and Sweet Rose on the bottom:

I already owned a Milani Mineral Blush in Sunset Beach. I can say that I absolutely love this blush. It is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. It blends pretty easily and isn't at all chalky. It is a matte blush that has no shimmer but it still gives a nice glow to your cheeks. As I said, it is really pigmented so you need to be careful when applying it.

Lipstick in Berry Rich

Below swatch of Eye Tech Liquid Liner in Charcoal, Lip Mixer Gloss in Lip Mingle, and Berry Rich Lipstick:

This sale is going on in all CVS stores in the US. So ladies be sure that you go out and get a few things. More than likely I will be hitting up a few more stores to see if they have the things I really wanted. Let me know what you guys bought. Happy Shopping!

Do The Twist

So I finally did a successful twist out on my hair. On my hair journey for healthier and longer hair I have been experimenting with different protective styles to keep from using heat on my hair. This is the third twist out I've done. The first time It was a little too tight and I ended up pulling it up into a high bun. The second time I didn't let it dry completely in the back so It was very frizzy in some areas, puffy in some areas, and no curl pattern in other areas. A mess! I guess the third time is the charm, huh! :)

If you would like to try a twist out on your hair the steps are listed below:

1. Cowash your hair using any conditioner you would like. Be sure to concentrate the conditioner on your scalp.

2. Deep Condition! I used Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle (one of my fav deep conditioners) and Coconut Oil. I used the Coconut Oil first and made sure to saturate my ends and oiled my scalp with it as well. I used the Aussie on the length of my hair. I then put a plastic cap on my head and let it sit for 3-4 hours. I would recommend letting it sit on your hair for at least an hour.

3. Rinse the conditioner out of your hair using first warm then cool water. Be sure to thoroughly detangle your hair using either your fingers or a wide tooth comb while rinsing the conditioner out. This will prevent any tangles during the next step.

4. Put a leave in conditioner on your hair. I like to use Loreal's Ever Sleek Humidity Defying Leave In. Part hair into four sections. Two sections in the back and one on each side of your head. Twist your hair downward onto your scalp. Add a natural oil to the ends once you are finished to prevent frizz.

5. Put a satin or silk bonnet on and let your hair air dry overnight. Untwist in the morning and finger through it until you achieve the fullness you like.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC45
          MAC Matchmaster Foundation in 7.5

MAC Matchmaster Review

I recently bought this foundation because my Revlon Photoready ran out. I really liked that foundation outside of the slight glittery finish to it. I went to MAC to try out a foundation. I bought the Pro Longwear first in I think NC 50. Or maybe NW 44-45. I thought I liked it until it oxidized after wearing it for about an hour or two. It looked like I was wearing a mask. I liked the finish but the color just looked awful so I returned it. I went back and purchased the Matchmaster in 7.5. I had a hard time choosing between that and the 7.0 inside of the store. I went with the 7.5 got it home and swatched in on my hand and it appeared really dark so I thought about exchanging it for the 7.0. Then I tried in on my face and blended it out really well. It was the perfect match. I guess the technology of the translucent powders adjusted to my skin tone and matched up really nicely. This does look alot like your skin but better. Its light enough to not feel like you have anything on but moderate enough to cover your small imperfections. What I like best is that it does not oxidize and turn too red, orange, or yellow. My skin tone is mostly neutral but has a slight yellow undertone. So most of the MAC foundations do not look good on me. And the SPF in it does not give you that awful gray cast look in photos. My skin tends to get oily throughout the day and this keeps the oil at bay. Overall I like this foundation and would recommend it to people that have oily skin.

I wore the foundation today to my interview with MAC. I will make a second post on the all of the products I used in another post. Here is a picture of me in the foundation:

What's On My Nails?

Over the weekend I made a routine stop at the MAC counter and the MUA had a gorgeous color on her nails. I had to have it! Dolls and Gents this is Oyster Shell. I purchased this for $15.00. I know, a wee bit expensive but oh well. Divide that amount by the number of times you'll wear it and it's super cheap! Lol. MAC describes the color as a light stone grey which is exactly what it is. It is a cream so it has no metallic or glitter. The wear of this polish is also pretty fab. I had been wearing it for 3-4 days without a top coat and only one of my nails was barely chipped on the edge. Keep in mind that I work on a computer type, type, typing away all day. Personally I like this color alot.
